Okay, Lets break it down.
"When you pray, go to your room, close the door and pray to your Father. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."In other words, pray by yourself. Don't stand up in a big restaurant and start yelling out prayer just so people around will you will think you are a good Christian person. Just go somewhere, alone, and let your heart pour out. Your Father will notice you much more if you pray while being unnoticed.
"And when you pray, do not keep on babbling on like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words." Don't pray for a fancy new bike or a new car. Don't pray for lots of money or a phone or anything like that. When you pray, pray for others. Pray for your enemies, pray for your friends and family. Pray for random strangers that look like they could use someones help. Think about other people, not just yourself. Its okay to think about yourself sometimes as long as you know how far is too far. Just pray for others and show Him you care.
